OVERALL OBJECTIVE(S) OF THE POST

The overall aim of the Licensing team is to engage and develop good Licensing partners who work with us to develop and uplift the DUNLOP brand value whilst always supporting the core product businesses.

1.       PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but not restricted to:

·       Brand Management and Approval Process

  • Manage Approvals submitted by Licensees and produce and maintain Approval calendar
  • Ensure product concepts are in adherence with Brand Guidelines
  • Implement product and marketing approval process, working directly with Licensees to ensure designs and product samples are approved in a timely fashion and adhere to the brand guidelines
  • Ensure all licensee marketing materials are approved according to brand guidelines and are aligned with the core values of the brand
  • Engage with external partners both within and outside the organisation to ensure the brand is represented to its fullest, whether presenting brand guidelines to prospect licensees or updated existing partners.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of sample stock storage 

·       Finance

  • Accurate communication with HQ Team relating to royalty reporting and invoice requests and payments
  • Collate Licensee royalty reports and distributing invoices
  • Record quarterly finance reports
  • Quarterly calculation of royalty invoice requirements, liaising with Licensing
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices
  • Chase overdue invoices and weekly reporting of status to Head Office
  • Manage collection of WHT certification 

·       Licensee management and relationship building

  • Provide assistance in the day-to-day running of the Licensing area to aid smooth running of the This includes regular email communications, conference calls etc
  • Develop relationships with Licensees’ relevant Finance and Approval teams
  • Carry out regular video and telephone calls with contacts 

·       Contract work

  • Co-ordinate Licensee requests for LOAs and Custom recordals and record and file relevant documentation and correspondence
  • Co-ordinate the administration and status of trademark licence agreements and amendments
  • Record and track contractual admin, liaising with Licence Managers
  • Ensure all contracts and legal materials are filed and managed accurately and in an organized manner working with legal teams at SRI HQ to ensure consistent working practices 

·       Administration

  • Undertake accurate record and file management of general day to day Licensing administration and correspondence
  • Instruct courier services to send contracts, products samples etc
  • Assist in scheduling licensee meetings and taking relevant notes where required 

2.       Additional Tasks

To assist with other departmental duties where necessary, as listed below:

  • As part of your employment, you may be required to undertake international travel in order to carry out the duties of your employment. This position will require travel in the UK, Continental Europe and occasionally worldwide

Requirements

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Able to undertake tasks such as product and marketing approvals, contract administration and finance calculation and administration relating to Brand licensing
  • Strong cultural awareness, with ability to communicate effectively with many nationalities, and especially with head office in Japan
  • Problem Solving/Analysis skills
  • Highly numeric with an excellent standard of English (for contract legalese etc.)
  • Educated to A Level, ONC, HNC, HND, advanced degree (MSc.) level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrable skills in developing successful working relationships
  • High competency in Microsoft Office/Word/Excel
  • Highly organised with good time management to plan and organise workload, managing peaks and troughs in workload
  • Remains calm and polite under pressure
  • Recognises and adapts to the different needs of the organisation and its other stakeholders
  • Communicates confidently and effectively with manager, colleagues and other contacts
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team Player, confident and General office administration and ad-hoc duties
  • Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for planning and monitoring multiple projects to established deadlines
