  • Part time position 34 hours a fortnight

Our Journey:

The Occupational Therapy department at Monash Health are an integral part of the wider Allied Health and ward multidisciplinary team. We currently seeking a dedicated G3 clinician looking to lead a team and support development of our aged and rehabilitation program. This position is part time, ongoing.  You will work collaboratively with a staff who are inclusive, passionate and share a vision to provide excellent, evidence-based care for patients and their families/carers.

A Day in the Life:

As a clinical expert in aged and rehabilitation, your advice and guidance will be sought after. Your participation in a rich diversity of experiences and opportunities, including involvement in research and quality assurance activities, will be highly valued. You will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership to the Occupational Therapy subacute stream. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other experienced and team-focused Senior Clinicians as part of the Occupational therapy senior leadership group.

You will be part of the wider Monash Health Occupational Therapy service, with access to all the benefits that a large health services offers including professional development, supervision, and broad and specialised clinical learning experience. Leading by example, you are a natural role model and inspire others to be the best they can be. You will work collaboratively every day with patients, families and a multi-disciplinary team of allied health, nursing and medical staff. Requirements

 What You Bring:

  • Experience in providing a high quality clinical service to patients in an acute Neurosciences setting;
  • Passion for enhancing patient experiences and facilitation of occupational performance;
  • Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision and promoting the growth and development of staff; 
  • An aptitude for ongoing learning and personal professional development; 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; 
  • A keen interest in evidence-based practice, clinical inquiry, research and service improvement.
