Description
The Auburn University Department of Chemical Engineering invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions with
an anticipated start date of August 2025. Although the areas of expertise are open, priority will be given to candidates in
catalysis, computational catalysis, and process systems engineering areas with a sustainability focus. The individual
selected for these positions will be expected to contribute to the growth of at least one of the department’s strategic focus
areas: energy and environment, advanced materials, computer-aided chemical engineering, and pharmaceutical/biomedical
engineering. The candidates selected for these positions must demonstrate a strong commitment and potential to excel at both
research and teaching in chemical engineering. Additionally, the candidates will have a strong record of scholarly publication,
the ability to attract and sustain externally sponsored research funding to support their research program, collaborate with
faculty on several interdisciplinary research projects, effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentor
graduate and undergraduate students. While our primary focus is hiring at the Assistant Professor level, appointment of
associate or full professor rank is possible commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Applications should be submitted at https://www.auemployment.com/postings/48099.
